How do I log in to library resources?
Use the same User ID and password you use for Portal. Your User ID is everything before the @ sign in your e-mail address.
How do I use the library if I don’t live near a King campus?
All electronic resources are available 24/7 at king.edu/library
Article Finder holds more than 90 databases with everything from full-text journals to streaming video.
BookFinder holds more than 215,000 e-books.
Research Guides is a great place to start — click on a subject area to learn about some of the resources available.
How do I get help if I can’t come to campus?
You can call the 800# above, use the chat box on the web site, or email for help. The library is open until 11:00 p.m. 5 nights per week during the Fall and Spring semesters. Current hours are on the website.
What if I need a physical library and I don’t live near a King campus?
We have agreements in place with some area libraries. Click on Find a Library Near You on the library website.
Can I print in the library?
Yes, there are printers in the library in Bristol, Kingsport, and Knoxville.
Can I print something in color?
Color copies are available for $.25 a page in Bristol only.
Where can I make a photocopy of something?
There is a copier in the library in Bristol, Kingsport, and Knoxville.
Can I fax something?
Yes, students can send faxes for free in the library in Bristol, Kingsport, and Knoxville.
I have a fine on my account – can I still check something out?
After you accrue $5 in fines you can only check out reserve materials.
Does the library have wireless access?
Yes, we have wireless in Bristol, Kingsport, and Knoxville.
How do I request a book from another library?
The easiest way is to go to library.king.edu and click on “Interlibrary Loan” and fill out the form online.
