Admissions Process and Requirements

King typically enrolls students from more than 35 countries and most states within of the United States of America each year. We seek to identify well-rounded applicants who can show the potential to be successful in a rigorous academic environment, and also have the desire to actively engage with the campus community.

Application Requirements

Decisions are based on a variety of factors such as: academic preparation, ACT and/or SAT examinations, extracurricular activities, and essays (if required).

The Application for Admission must include the following:

  1. King University Application for Admission
  2. Official High School transcript, official Home School transcript or official results from the General Equivalency Diploma
  3. OPTIONAL: Scores from either the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT I) of the College Entrance Examination Board or the American College Testing Program (ACT).

General requirements for admission include graduation from an accredited or recognized high school or secondary institution with a minimum of 17 academic units, distributed as follows:

  1. Four Units of English
  2. Two Units of Algebra (Algebra I & II)
  3. One Unit of Geometry
  4. Two Units of Foreign Language
  5. Two Units from History and the Social Studies
  6. One Unit of Natural Science
  7. Four Units of other academic electives

If additional information is needed, the Undergraduate Admissions Office will contact you. While there is no deadline for submitting the application, it is strongly recommended that you complete the application as early as possible. There is no fee to submit the application. We will provide an admission decision once all required documents have been received and the application is complete.

Applicants for admission may be offered admission on a conditional basis after the review of the application materials received. Students are conditionally accepted with the permission from the Admissions Committee of the Faculty. A student who has been conditionally accepted will be limited to 14 hours of coursework during his or her first semester in attendance at the institution.

Preference will be given to applicants with the academic performance listed below and who have completed the minimum academic units of coursework.
