Instructional Leadership Program Overview

The fully online Instructional Leadership programs from King University is designed for teachers who already possess a teaching license who seek an administrative license or wish to serve their schools in other leadership positions.

Master of Education (MEd) in Instructional Leadership

  • Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and a Valid Teaching License with two years of teaching experience.
  • Anyone who desires to be in a Leadership position (assistant principal or principal) in a school which requires an administrator’s license.
  • Online Courses with practicing or retired administrators teaching the courses
  • Built in support for taking and passing the School Leaders Licensure Assessment (Praxis Test for Administrators)
  • Option to take a non-licensure track
  • Master’s degree will lead to an increase in pay
  • Action Research to support the learning for an administrator
  • Experienced mentorship
  • Clinical field experience component where candidates gain administrative and reflective best practice activities

Education Specialist (EdS) in Instructional Leadership

  • Candidates should have a master’s degree and a Valid Teaching License with two years of teaching experience.
