February 5, 2019

BRISTOL, Tenn., Feb. 5, 2019 — King University is partnering with WTFM 98.5 and WVEK 102.7 to offer one lucky contestant a full-tuition scholarship toward completion of a bachelor’s degree.

The College Dream promotion is accepting entries now through Feb. 24 at collegedream.king.edu. Contestants must be 18 or older and have at least 60 hours of transferrable college credit. To enter, contestants should complete the online application, submit an essay that outlines their academic history and personal goals, and provide other documentation required for admission to the selected program. Current King University students are not eligible to enter.

The pool of contestants will be narrowed to five by a selection committee. All five finalists will be interviewed and the two radio stations will broadcast their stories on March 4. Community members may then vote for a winner between March 5 and 17, and a winner will be announced during a live radio remote on WTFM and WVEK from the King campus on March 18.

The winner will receive full tuition and books toward a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Elementary Education, Healthcare Administration, RN-BSN, or Social Work. The scholarship may be used at King’s main campus in Bristol or at instructional sites in Abingdon, Kingsport, Morristown or Richlands where the chosen program is offered. A $50 gift card to King’s Tornado Alley Shoppe will also be provided.
