King and UT Continue Partnership for Accelerated Engineering Program

April 18, 2022

BRISTOL, Tenn. — King University has reaffirmed its collaboration with the University of Tennessee – Knoxville, renewing an agreement that offers qualifying undergraduates a pathway to study for three years at King before being admitted into UT’s Tickle College of Engineering in select areas.

Those who successfully complete the UTK 3+2 program graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Science and Mathematics from King, as well as a bachelor’s degree in an engineering field from UT. Students may choose from the chemical, biomedical, civil, or industrial engineering areas of study.

The universities first entered into the agreement in 2017.

“We are very happy to renew our partnership with the Tickle College of Engineering,” said Matt Roberts, Ed.D, provost at King. “This agreement is one of only two such programs in the state, and has been a valuable asset to engineering students seeking to maximize their educational efforts and establish a substantial foundation for future success.”

For more information on the degree program, contact Bill Linderman, Ph.D., chair of the Department of Mathematics at Physics at [email protected].
