King University Again Recognized as Military-Friendly School

March 7, 2023

Military Friendly® has recognized King University as a Gold status school for the 2023-2024 school year. The annual program helps rank civilian organizations based on their commitment, effort, and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefit for the military community.

Weighted sections in the survey include military student support and retention, as well as graduation and career outcomes, among others. Of the more than 1,800 schools participating in the program, Gold designations were presented to 250.

At King, qualified military students are eligible to receive a tuition discount for adult study undergraduate programs upon submission of approved documentation. Those who are on active duty, as well as those in the reserves and National Guard, may qualify for the discounted rate.

Additionally, beginning fall 2023, spouses of qualified military students will also be eligible to receive the discount.

“As an institution that is led by a retired veteran and has service members throughout our community, we understand the challenges of applying for and navigating a degree program,” said Matt Roberts, Ed.D., provost of King. “We support those families who serve our nation and are committed to helping them achieve their educational goals.”

The Military Friendly® ratings program was started in 2003 as an advocacy vehicle to encourage civilian organizations to invest in programs to recruit, retain and advance veterans as employees, entrepreneurs and students. Additional information on the program is available here.
