King University Accepting Alumni Nominations

A long standing university tradition, the Alumni Awards program recognizes the outstanding achievement, service and support of King University’s alumni.

The Alumni Awards ceremony will be held on April 18, 2020 during Dogwood Homecoming Weekend.

Nomination Process

To submit a nomination, please complete the form below and include each of the following:

  • Letter of nomination or letter of support.
  • Required only for Distinguished Alumnus Award – A second letter of nomination or letter of support.
  • Nominee’s current resume, link to LinkedIn profile, or other supporting documentation if applicable.

Please note that self-nominations are not accepted.

All nominations and supporting documentation must be received no later than February 21, 2020.

Awards

The King University Alumni Office presents the annual Distinguished Alumnus of the Year award to alumni who have made worthy contributions in many areas of life, particularly in the areas of the “Three C’s,” which are college, church, and community.

This award is intended to recognize alumni who exemplify the values King University upholds: Christian faith, service, career, and scholarship.

This award requires two letters of support.

King is blessed to have numerous families who have sent more than one student to King. Established in 2009, the Legacy Award recognizes their commitment to King as well as their lifetime of service and achievement.

This award is a witness to the mission of King University in preparing students to become thoughtful, resourceful, responsible citizens with a passion for serving God, the Church and the world.

This award requires one letter of support.

The Young Alumni Achievement Award recognizes those 40 or younger who have made outstanding professional contributions in their field and shown a strong commitment to serving others.

This award is a witness to the mission of King University in preparing students to become thoughtful, resourceful, responsible citizens with a passion for serving God, the Church and the world.

This award requires one letter of support.

In 2007, King began awarding the Volunteer of the Year Award to alumni who have committed a significant portion of their time and talents to furthering the mission of King. An institution the size of King would not be able to function without the faithful efforts of its volunteers.

This award is a witness to the mission of King University in preparing students to become thoughtful, resourceful, responsible citizens with a passion for serving God, the Church and the world.

This award requires one letter of support.

The Christian Service Award honors alumni of King who have dedicated their lives in full-time service to fulfill the commission of Jesus Christ, as found in the gospels. Nominees may be pastors, evangelists, teachers, missionaries, worship leaders, or anyone who serves or has served in full-time ministry.

This award is a witness to the mission of King University in preparing students to become thoughtful, resourceful, responsible citizens with a passion for serving God, the Church and the world.

This award requires one letter of support.
