First Bank & Trust to Fund Baseball Uniforms

February 9, 2019

BRISTOL, Tenn., Feb. 9, 2019 — First Bank & Trust Co. continued its long-standing support for King University by kicking off the first home game of the 2019 baseball season Saturday with a $6,200 donation that will be used to purchase new team uniforms.

“First Bank & Trust Company is committed to programs that serve to support youth initiatives in northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia,” said Scott Peak, a King graduate who now serves as Bristol City Executive for the bank. “We donate these funds because we strongly believe in the power of working together to make our community better and stronger.”

The check was presented to King Athletic Director David Hicks and Head Baseball Coach Blain Brown by Peak and Senior Vice President/Regional Manager Hugh Ferguson. The bank was also represented by Loan Officer Joe Ganger, Branch Manager Lance Blaylock, Internal Auditor P.J. Millard, and Loan Processor Grace William, all of who are King alumni.

In addition to its financial support for King, First Bank & Trust Company provides a variety of banking services for students. The bank makes a donation to a designated school or civic organization in the region on behalf of customers who elect to use one of their free, customizable Visa check cards, available to all new checking account customers.
