Commencement Parking Guidelines
With a large number of people expected on campus for graduation, we know that parking will be challenging. To better accommodate guests, parking on campus will be first come first serve and is limited. Additionally, to ensure everyone arriving on campus is directed to the best possible parking, all gates except the Carmack Entrance on East State Street/King College Road across from the fire department will be closed. Signs posted at each entrance will direct guests to the Carmack gate.
King University will provide complimentary shuttle service to and from the baseball field, soccer field, and tennis courts parking areas to the Oval every 5-10 minutes, beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing into the afternoon.
Mobility-Impaired Parking Permit Application
Special needs parking is available to individuals with government-issued handicapped parking placards. Those who are mobility impaired and require special needs parking accommodations that do not have a state handicap placard must register to obtain a special needs parking permit for King Commencement.
Permit requests are currently being accepted. Permits will be mailed within 2 business days of the request being received or picked up in the security office prior to the event. No permits will be issued on the day of the event.
Note: Special needs parking permits are issued by the King University Security Department and are valid for the current Commencement service only.
Mobility-Impaired Parking FAQ
We have two mobility impaired people in our vehicle. Do we need to submit two requests?
No, just one request. By submitting a request, we will send you a special parking permit for your vehicle. It doesn’t matter how many people are in the vehicle or how many of them are mobility impaired. The parking permit is for a vehicle, not for a person.
