Nathan Funds

Officer Nathaniel (Nate) Morgan Funds brings a passion for service and community to King University’s Office of Campus Safety and Security. Since joining King in June 2024, he has been dedicated to helping create a safe, supportive environment where students, faculty, and staff feel valued and connected.

As Safety and Security Coordinator and a Field Training Officer, Nate helps train King Security officers and supports compliance with Clery Act requirements, Title IX standards, de-escalation practices, and CPR instruction. Inspired by Romans 8:28, he appreciates King’s culture of encouragement, where people support one another through challenges and growth.

Outside of work, Nate enjoys tabletop role-playing games, video games, and helping build community through clubs and group activities. He is passionate about creating spaces where people can connect, solve problems together, and never feel alone. A fun fact about Nate is that he was once fluent in German and Spanish and has also studied French and Russian.

Fueled by King’s Den breakfast and Sugar-Free Ghost Energy, Nate starts each day ready to serve. Whether discussing campus safety, sharing a Dungeons & Dragons story, or swapping a Warhammer reference, he enjoys connecting with members of the King community and is always happy to help.
