Kelsey Decatur

Officer Kelsey Decatur brings experience in corrections and private security to the King University Office of Campus Safety and Security. Before joining King, she served as a corrections officer for two years and worked in security roles within hospital and casino environments. She was drawn to King by the opportunity to serve others, work as part of a close-knit team, and spend more time with her family.

Known for her calm approach and dedication to helping others, Officer Decatur specializes in de-escalation, conflict resolution, CPR/AED response, emergency preparedness, and incident reporting. She enjoys being part of a community where people genuinely care for one another and values the relationships she has built with students and staff.

Outside of work, Officer Decatur enjoys caring for chickens, working on a camper coop project, and baking homemade treats. She also enjoys serving her community whenever possible. An accomplished baker and strong swimmer, she brings enthusiasm and dedication to everything she does.

When you see her around campus, don’t hesitate to say hello. Officer Decatur enjoys meeting new people, hearing their stories, and learning about different cultures, and she wants the King community to know they can always count on her.
