King has welcomed Stephen Fillers as he rejoins the university as Web Developer.
Fillers began his career as a graphic designer at an automotive marketing company while earning his bachelor’s degree in digital media from East Tennessee State University (ETSU). After graduating in 2013, he advanced to the role of digital marketing manager, where he spent seven years refining his skills in design, strategy and marketing.
In 2019 he joined King as director of Digital Media Marketing. During his time in that role, he played a key part in strengthening the university’s digital communications and web presence. His growing interest in technology and software development led him to pursue self-directed learning in the evenings, ultimately prompting a career shift.
Within a year, Fillers transitioned into a software development position with a technology company in Richmond, Texas, where he spent nearly four years deepening his technical knowledge and sharpening his development skills.
As he returns to King, Fillers brings with him a strong foundation in both creative and technical disciplines. His focus will be on enhancing the university’s digital infrastructure and leading innovative web development projects.
“We are thrilled to have Stephen on the team once again and look forward to the exciting contributions he will make in his new role at King,” said Brian Shupe, vice president for Advancement.
Outside of his professional work, Fillers enjoys gaming, continuous learning and spending time with his wife, Briana, and their new son, Sam.
