STEMgineering Camp (Canceled)

Middle School girls from throughout the region are invited to King University Monday, July 13, through Friday, July 17, to participate in interactive workshops and explore careers in the STEM fields. The camp will be held each day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is open to girls who will be entering fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grades in the fall.

Action-Packed Workshops

Units in Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, Physics, Medical STEM, Nutrition, Exercise Science, and Coding/Programming are planned. Each interactive workshop will allow participants to learn more about the careers available in STEM fields and the skills needed to be successful. Group activities also are planned throughout the week.

Daily schedule

8:45-9:00 Arrival
9:00-9:30 Morning Group Activities
9:30-12:00 Morning STEM session
12:00-1:00 Lunch in the King University Dining Hall
1:00-3:30 Afternoon STEM session
3:30-4:00 Afternoon Group Round-up
4:00 Dismiss for the day

The cost of the week-long camp is just $225, which includes lunch each day, all workshop supplies and materials, and a camp T-shirt and lanyard. Space is limited!

Scholarship Opportunity

Thanks to the generous support of donors and sponsors, we do have a limited number of need-based scholarships available. In addition to those, Renasant Bank has also provided funds for 10 full scholarships to be awarded to girls in Bristol City Schools (Bristol TN or Bristol VA) with demonstrated financial need.
