How It Works

  • Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise is available to all eligible enrolled King University students at no cost through the Microsoft 365 Education A5 Student Use Benefit.
  • Install Microsoft 365 desktop apps on up to 5 Windows PCs or Macs, plus mobile apps on up to 5 tablets and 5 smartphones (iOS or Android).
  • Desktop applications can be used offline, but the device should connect to the Internet at least once every 30 days so Microsoft can verify the license.
  • Always sign in with your King University student email account. If Microsoft asks you to choose an account type, select Work or School account.

Getting Started

  1. Open a web browser and go to the Microsoft 365 Apps portal.
  2. Select Sign in and sign in with your King University student email account.
  3. Complete any King University authentication prompts that appear.
  4. On the Microsoft 365 Apps page, select Install apps. Depending on the current page layout, you may first need to select Apps from the left side of the page.
  5. Select Microsoft 365 apps.
  6. Your browser will download the Microsoft 365 installer. Open the downloaded installer.
  7. If Windows asks whether you want to allow the application to make changes to your device, select Yes.
  8. Microsoft 365 will download and install the applications. Keep the computer connected to the Internet while installation is in progress.
  9. When Microsoft reports that installation is complete, select Close.

Activate Microsoft 365

  1. Open Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, or another Microsoft 365 application from the Start menu.
  2. If prompted, sign in with your King University student email account.
  3. Complete any King University authentication prompts and accept the license agreement if prompted.
  4. Once your King account appears in the application, Microsoft 365 is activated and ready to use.

No product key is required. Your Microsoft 365 license is associated with your King University student account.
