How It Works

• Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise is available to all eligible enrolled King University students at no cost through the Microsoft 365 Education A5 Student Use Benefit.
• Install Microsoft 365 desktop apps on up to 5 Macs or Windows PCs, plus mobile apps on up to 5 tablets and 5 smartphones (iOS or Android).
• Desktop applications can be used offline, but the device should connect to the Internet at least once every 30 days so Microsoft can verify the license.
• Always sign in with your King University student email account. If Microsoft asks you to choose an account type, select Work or School account.

Getting Started

1. Open a web browser and go to the Microsoft 365 Apps portal.
2. Select Sign in and sign in with your King University student email account.
3. Complete any King University authentication prompts that appear.
4. On the Microsoft 365 Apps page, select Install apps. Depending on the current page layout, you may first need to select Apps from the left side of the page.
5. Select Microsoft 365 apps to begin the download.
6. When the download is complete, open Finder, select Downloads, and open the downloaded Microsoft Office installer .pkg file. The exact filename may vary.
7. Follow the installer prompts: select Continue, review and accept the license agreement, and select Install.
8. If prompted, enter the password you use to sign in to your Mac and select Install Software.
9. When installation is complete, select Close.

Activate Microsoft 365

10. Open Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, or another Microsoft 365 application.
11. Select Get Started or Sign in if prompted.
12. Sign in using your King University student email account.
13. Complete any King University authentication prompts.
14. Once your King account is associated with the application, Microsoft 365 is activated and ready to use.

No product key is required. Your Microsoft 365 license is associated with your King University student account.
