Christie Promoted to Assistant Vice President

BRISTOL, Tenn., April 26, 2023 – Jenna Christie has been promoted to assistant vice president for Advancement at King University.

Christie joined the staff at King in 2018 and previously served as director of alumni and community engagement, where she was responsible for the development, management, and integration of programs that engaged alumni, donors, and partners. She also oversaw King’s alumni database and planned events including Dogwood Homecoming Weekend, KingFest, and Christmas at King.

“Jenna’s expertise in events and skill in relationship building are foundational to our daily success,” said Shelly Laux, vice president for Advancement. “She is a central member of the King community, embodying the University mission of servant leadership, and we look forward to her future success as she helps guide the Advancement team.”

Before coming to King, Christie worked as senior development manager of distinguished events for the American Cancer Society. She holds bachelor of arts degrees in Communications and Religious Studies from Michigan State University, and resides in Kingsport, Tennessee, with husband Richie and their two sons.
