Traveling and studying throughout the U.S. and abroad is one of the most valuable parts of the King experience. Led by faculty and staff, university-sponsored trips connect students with new cultures and ecosystems, build career and language skills, and help you grow into a more thoughtful, engaged citizen of a rapidly changing world. Plus, it’s fun!
King offers several ways to travel each year, from the credit-bearing Study Abroad program to faculty-led mission trips and more. Not every trip is part of the formal Study Abroad program, so check each listing for its Cross-Cultural Experience (CCE) credit status.
Where We've Been
Ways to Study Abroad
Study abroad opportunities happen during the summer, for a single semester, or for a full academic year, and count toward academic credit, career experience, language skills, and a broader worldview. They include:
- Faculty-led trips: Short-term trips led by King faculty to a variety of locations, such as Italy, Israel, Great Britain/Ireland, Malaysia/Vietnam, Panama, and Spain.
- Tuition-exchange partnerships: King institutional grants, federal aid, or state aid can be used to travel to locations like Northern Ireland, South Korea, and Brazil.
- Consortium/Affiliates: Programs that give students access to partner institutions around the world; federal, state, or outside scholarships may apply.
However you go, King staff can help you find funding through federal or state financial aid and study abroad scholarships such as the Boren Scholarship, Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship, BUTEX (U.K.), Critical Language Scholarships, Freeman-ASIA, Fund for Education Abroad, Future Unlimited-Australia, LIVFund (Latin America), and the Rotary Foundation Scholarship.
Provider options include Arcadia University, American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS), Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU), International Studies Abroad (ISA), and Knowledge Exchange Institute (KEI).
