Dogwood Homecoming Weekend 2022

Some highlights that you can look forward to during Dogwood Homecoming Weekend:

  • A special chapel service on Saturday morning with guest speaker, Simeon Pickard.
  • Dr. Jack E. Snider Brunch – Join the classes of 1970, 1971, and 1972 as they are inducted into the 50+ Club and hear a message from President Whitaker.
  • Announcement of the 2022 Alumni Award recipients.
  • Institute for Faith & Culture Panel – a panel of alumni from every decade since the 1950s will discuss how they found their callings at King.
  • Steinway Demonstration and Music Open House
  • Homecoming Picnic complete with delicious food, children’s train ride, face painting, balloon animals, and more.


Dogwood Homecoming Weekend Registration is $15 per person, children 12 and under are free. Registration includes access to all events and meals for the weekend. Your registration – The Courtyard Marriot in Bristol, VA (3169 Linden Dr, Bristol, VA 24202) is graciously giving all Dogwood guests a rate of $99/night, just mention King University when placing your registration.

Celebration of the Arts at King

  • Join alumni, faculty, students, and staff for the 2022 Celebration of the Arts at King. An elegant evening at the Bristol Train Station of music, art, theatre, and friends from far and near, this event promises to be a wonderful time of reconnection and celebration of the rich history of the arts at King. Guest of honor Dr. Pat Flannagan headlines the special program with other performances from alumni and current students. There will be delectable strolling appetizers and an exclusive silent auction.
