Making a Gift to King

CARES Act Provides a Charitable Gift Deduction for Non-Itemizers: A special tax-deduction is allowed for non-itemizers who make charitable gifts of up to $300 ($600 for married filing jointly) in 2020. For itemizers, the rules allowing charitable gift deductions remain the same.

Donating appreciated stock or other securities is a great way to help King University meet its mission. You can avoid capital gains and receive a tax deduction on the appreciated value of the stock.

Make the most of your gift to King. More than 8,000 companies offer corporate matching gift programs. Participating companies may double or even triple your gift. Contact your employer and ask if they offer a matching gift program.

When you make a gift to King University, please include notice that you have requested a matching gift.  Advancement Services will work with you to facilitate the matching gift.  Please include:

  • Employer’s name, address and phone
  • Matching gift company’s name, address, and phone (if different, i.e. parent company)
  • Percentage match

Advancement Services will notify you when the matching gift is received by the University.
