2008 Wilderness Trips

Life changing experiences at King College start with the Outdoor Adventure Program to help you get to know your classmates and prepare you to become a student at King.

You’ll be providedwith the training, equipment, meals and transportation from King. Your destination is River’s Way, located in northeast Tennessee between Bluff City and Bristol along the banks of the beautiful South Holston River.

  • Evening Session:  Charting Your Course (Guest Faculty)

Tuesday, June 24

  • High Ropes Course
  • Caving
  • Evening Session: Sounds of Appalachia (Guest Faculty)

Wednesday, June 25

  • Rafting
  • Rock Climbing
  • Wilderness School
  • Evening Session: Appalachia Speaks (Guest Faculty)

Thursday, June 26

  • Biking the Virginia Creeper Trail
  • Wilderness Hiking and Camping
  • Evening Session: (Reflection)

Friday, June 27

  • Mountain Top Experience
  • Return to King College
