About SLACK

SLACKThe Student Life Activities Committee at King (SLACK) is the official student programming board within the division of Student Affairs. During the academic year, SLACK sponsors events throughout the week and on weekends. SLACK's programs are intended to provide a fun and entertaining environment for the whole student body. In addition to providing entertainment, SLACK also seeks to provide events that engage culture, develop recreational and social skills, support education through partnerships with faculty and staff, and promote spiritual growth through collaboration with the Chaplain's office.

About the Committee

The Director of Campus Life serves as the advisor to the SLACK committee with assistance from the Coordinator of Student Activities. SLACK consists of eight student members who serve on the committee and plan events each week for the campus community. These events can be on-campus, off-campus or within the local area. Each member is responsible for chairing one event and one publicity every month. This is a paid position on campus.

If you have a suggestion or idea the SLACK committee should do, e-mail us at slack@king.edu. If you are interested in being on the SLACK committee, applications are available spring semester across from the bookstore and on the SLACK bulletin board across from the mailboxes in the basement of Maclellan Hall.
