Who is eligible to participate?

High school juniors and seniors with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and a recommendation from their school.

What is the cost of the program?

Dual Enrollment students are charged $110 per semester hour. Books and supplies are not included in this charge and are the responsibility of the student. Students may be eligible for the TN Dual Enrollment Grant to reduce cost.

What classes should I take?

Am I limited in the number of courses I can take?

First time Dual Enrollment students are limited to four credit hours their first semester. In following semesters, depending on the student’s previous class average, the student may take eight semester hours. No more than 16 credit hours may be taken as part of the Dual Enrollment student. After 16 credit hours, students can continue coursework at King as a non-degree seeking student.

What if my high school schedule of holidays and breaks differs from the King schedule?

Dual Enrollment classes will follow the master class schedule of King University. Dual Enrollment students will be expected to attend classes if King is in session, even if their high school is not. Any absence should be discussed with the professor, and assistance for extended absences is available through the Office of Student Affairs at 423.652.6310.
