Trung Phan’s Senior Photography Exhibit to Explore “The Shakespeare Motif”

Trung Phan senior photography showBRISTOL, Tenn., April 14, 2015 – King University’s Department of Digital Media Art & Design is pleased to present the senior photography exhibit by Trung Phan. The exhibit, “The Shakespeare Motif,” will be available for public viewing on Wednesday, April 22 from 6-10 p.m. in the lobby of Barter Stage II located directly across the street from the famous Barter Theatre at 110 West Main Street in Abingdon, Va.

Phan is set to graduate from King in May with degrees in both Photography and Theatre. “I am excited to share this collection of work with the community. Each photograph explores a different theme that resonates in Shakespeare’s works,” says Phan.

Phan adds, “The works stem from my experience in theatre. They partially pay homage to my years in the theatre at King University as well as test my technical skills in photography. This collection has also pushed my narrative skills in both areas.”

The setting for Phan’s exhibit, the Barter Stage II, is a perfect fit. The intent of the space is to bring the action up close to the patron, just as Phan’s photographs bring the viewer into his interpretation of the themes throughout Shakespeare’s many works.

“The Shakespeare Motif” exhibit is free and open to the public.
