BRISTOL, Tenn., January 4, 2017 – King University ranks among the “30 Most Affordable
Online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Nursing Leadership, Nursing Management,
or Nursing Administration for 2016.” Of the top 30 programs ranked by The Best Master’s
Degrees, King ranks 12th.
The Best Master’s Degrees provides help to those exploring career paths and master’s
degrees programs across a variety of disciplines. Editors provide reviews and rankings
of the top programs in the nation.
“We are pleased for King University’s MSN program to be ranked among schools such
as Vanderbilt University and the University of Texas,” says Matthew Roberts, Ed.D.,
vice president for Academic Affairs. “King University and Vanderbilt University are
the only institutions of higher learning in Tennessee to be named to the ‘30 Most
Affordable Online Master of Science in Nursing’ programs list.”
King’s MSN program prepares professional nurses for a specialty role in advanced nursing
practice, leadership in the nursing profession, and future doctoral study. Students
learn the advanced theoretical knowledge, research, and practice skills needed to
function in increasingly complex care settings. Within King’s online MSN program,
students may choose from two specialization areas including Nursing Administration
and Nurse Educator.
King University is recognized as a “Best Regional Universities” in the South by U.S.
News and World Report; this year’s ranking is King’s 27th consecutive appearance in
the annual publication. Other recent accolades include King’s recognition for the
past 13 years as a “Best College in the Southeast” by the Princeton Review, and as
