King University Now Offering MBA Program at Walters State in Morristown

BRISTOL, Tenn., October 6, 2015 – This spring, working adults in the Morristown area of East Tennessee will have the opportunity to complete their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. King University is now offering the MBA for Professionals program at Walters State Community College.

King offers programs specifically designed with the adult learner in mind through the University’s Graduate, Professional, and Online Studies (GPS) programs as well as numerous courses for students who wish to transition from an associate degree to a bachelor’s degree.

“Our GPS program is tailored to reduce the challenges facing the adult learner. Time and access is often a barrier for students to finish their degree,” said Mona Salyer, assistant vice president of GPS Enrollment Management for Tri-Cities. “By offering classes in a convenient location, one night per week, the working adult may complete their degree coursework in as few as 16 months and open the door for professional advancement.”

King University’s MBA for Professionals program will prepare students to be effective strategic leaders and managers. The program helps students to directly integrate management research, theoretical constructs, skills, abilities, and ethical practices within their own contemporary-professional situation, as well as directs them towards managing for quality results.

Students will have the option to specialize in the following areas: Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Management, Accounting, Leadership, Project Management, or Healthcare Administration.

In addition to the new MBA program, Morristown-area residents’ degree offerings include the Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Nursing for Registered Nurses.

“We are excited to finally be able to offer the MBA through Walters State Community College,” says Salyer. “King’s degree programs are intended to build knowledge and practice in the field, as well as foster professional integrity, and promote personal growth.”

Applications are now being accepted for spring enrollment. For more information about the MBA and King’s Graduate, Professional, and Online Studies programs call the King University Office of Admissions at (800) 362-0014, email, or visit Applications may also be submitted online at
