BRISTOL, Tenn., Feb. 23, 2017 – Excitement is building for King University’s 150th Anniversary concert featuring Josh Turner at Viking Hall Civic Center in Bristol,
Tenn., March 31 at 7 p.m. The event, which is open to the public as well as current
King students, alumni, faculty, and staff, is a tremendous opportunity to mark the
school’s Sesquicentennial celebration.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 25. The public and King alumni can purchase
tickets online at http://tornadoalleyshoppe.com. The purchased tickets may be picked-up the following business day after 1:30 p.m. at King’s Bristol campus in the campus
bookstore known as the Tornado Alley Shoppe, located on the lower level of Maclellan
Hall. Tickets may also be picked up at Will Call at Viking Hall from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
the day of the concert. Tickets for the public are $20.00 per ticket, plus an additional
$3.00 per ticket service fee. (The service fee includes taxes and processing fees.)
Tickets for the public may also be purchased at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum
Saturday, Feb. 25 beginning at 10 a.m. and the Bristol Chamber of Commerce Monday,
Feb. 27. Tickets will be $23.00 at both locations. Quantities are limited.
Alumni can purchase up to four (4) tickets at a cost of $10.00 per ticket, plus an
additional $3.00 per ticket service fee. You must have a personal code in order to
purchase alumni tickets; the personal code was emailed to alumni recently. If you
did not receive a code, you may contact King’s Office of Development at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive one, or call 800-621-5464.
The doors will open at 6 p.m. for the event. Concessions will be open at Viking Hall,
and Josh Turner merchandise will be available for purchase. Parking at Viking Hall
will be $5.00 per car.

celebration event with our King family and our community. Bristol and King’s heritage
have been synonymous, and we are excited to look toward the next 150 years of continued
growth and a shared vision,” said Denise Asbury, director of Development.
