King Tornado Host Graduate, Professional, and Online Student Appreciation Night Dec. 16

BRISTOL, Tenn., Nov. 27, 2017 –King University’s Athletic Department, Graduate Admissions, and Student Affairs are hosting the annual Graduate, Professional, and Online Student Appreciation Day on Dec. 16, 2017, in the University’s Student Center Complex on the main campus in Bristol. GPS students, along with their families, and the community are invited to join King Athletics for a basketball doubleheader featuring the men’s and women’s basketball teams in action against Conference Carolinas opponent, Belmont Abbey. The women will tip off the action at 2 p.m. with the men’s team following at 4 p.m.

“We realize that many of our GPS students may not often visit King’s main campus. While admission to all of our athletic events is always free to all students, this night is our special way of saying thank you to our GPS students and their families,” said David Hicks, athletic director for King University. “We hope events like this give students reason to attend more athletic events, experience more of the King community, and support our amazing Tornado student-athletes.”

GPS students and their families will receive free admission to the Christmas-themed basketball games and have the opportunity to meet the cheer team. Pizza, courtesy of Mellow Mushroom, will be available during halftime of the women’s game at approximately 2:45 p.m. There will be door prize drawings (GPS students must be present to win), visits from Santa and Twister, and a Christmas surprise for the children.

You must RSVP by Dec. 2 to enjoy the free dinner and be entered for door prizes. To sign up for the event, visit
