King University Bands to Perform at the Paramount Center for the Arts Nov. 4

BRISTOL, Tenn., Oct. 25, 2016 – The King University Bands will present their Fall Concert on Friday, Nov. 4 at the Paramount Center for the Arts in Downtown Bristol. The evening will include performances by the King University Symphonic Band and the 250 Jazz Ensemble.

The 250 Jazz Ensemble, which was formed at King University five years ago, will perform selections by Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, and John La Barbera. The Symphonic Band, in its tenth season, will perform pieces by well-known wind band composers Jack Stamp, Václav Nelhýbel, Clare Grundman, and others.

The King University Bands are under the direction of Lonny Finley. “We are pleased, once again, to welcome several students from Virginia Highlands Community College who are joining us for this performance, continuing the collaboration we began last year. It promises to be a memorable evening of music.”

The concert will be held at the Paramount Center for the Arts on Friday, Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. General Admission for this performance is $5.00 at the door and free to students and faculty presenting a King ID.
