King University Releases Enrollment Figures for Spring Semester 2016

BRISTOL, Tenn., Feb. 2, 2016 – Statistics released for spring semester 2016 at King University show the total student body count of 2,716, a slight increase over last spring’s campus enrollment of 2,712.

Spring enrollment numbers are representative of all three educational platforms taught at King University including traditional, graduate and professional studies, and online degree programs.

“We are very pleased with our strong numbers represented in the student population for the spring 2016 semester,” says Dr. Matt Roberts, vice president for Academic Affairs. “We can attribute our continued success to King’s rigorous academic reputation and commitment to providing an affordable, meaningful college education.”

“Diversity of programming allows King to serve varied educational interests and support community development. In 2001, King opened its first program designed to meet the needs of adult learners,” says Roberts. “This new effort began a season of growth and expansion for the University as the need for continued educational opportunities became evident throughout our region. Today’s record enrollment numbers are in part a result of those efforts first planted over ten years ago.”

Recent accolades for King University include recognition for the 26th consecutive year as one of the “Best Regional University in the South” by the U.S. News and World Report in their 2016 Best Colleges rankings list. Additionally, The Princeton Review recommended King for the 12th straight year as one of the “Best Colleges in the Southeast.” King has also been named to the coveted Military Friendly® Schools list for the seventh straight year by Victory Media, the premier media entity for military personnel transition into civilian life.
