WIVK FM 107.7 and King University to Host Open House at Knoxville Campus Nov. 2; Scholarship Winner to be Revealed

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 1, 2017 – Knoxville’s WIVK FM 107.7 and King University will host an Open House event Thursday, Nov. 2 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the University’s Hardin Valley campus located at 10950 Spring Bluff Way in Knoxville. Additionally, WIVK and King will reveal the winner of the eighth annual Degree of Success Scholarship Contest promotion during the Open House event.

This Open House will provide the opportunity to meet one-on-one with faculty, financial aid representatives, enrollment counselors, career center counselors, and tour King’s Knoxville campus.

“Our GPS program is tailored to reduce the challenges facing the adult learner,” stated Kristi Reynolds, assistant vice president of GPS Enrollment Management Knoxville for King University. “Time and access is often a barrier for students to finish their degrees. By offering classes in convenient locations, one night per week, the working adult may obtain their degree in as little as 16 months and open the door for professional advancement.”

The winner of King’s Degree of Success Scholarship Contest will be announced during WIVK’s live remote. The winner receives a full-tuition paid scholarship to one of King’s GPS degree programs including Business Administration, Communication, Criminal Justice, Elementary Education with K-5 licensure, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, or RN-BSN. The winner will also receive books and $50 gift certificate from the Tornado Alley Bookstore.

“We are honored to offer this opportunity to make a remarkable difference in someone's life,” said Reynolds. “Whether you are searching to make yourself more marketable, further a career change, or serve as an inspiration to your family, it is never too late to pursue the dream of a college education.”

Application fees will be waived for all who attend. Contact King’s Office of Admissions at or toll free at 800.362.0014 for additional information. You may also apply online at
