Five Finalist Selected; Voting Open Feb. 24-March 2 for College Dream Scholarship Contest

 

BRISTOL, Tenn., Feb. 23, 2016 – The five finalists in the King University/WXBQ College Dream Scholarship Contest have been chosen. Voting begins at www.WXBQ.com Feb. 24 and will continue through March 2. The winner will be revealed by WXBQ at during a live remote event at Nicewonder Hall at King University’s main campus in Bristol, Tenn., between 5-7 p.m. on March 3.

The five finalists are April Dawn Justus of Pounding Mill, Va., Bradley Scott King of Bristol, Tenn., Judy Lynn Light of Castlewood, Va., Julie Ann Townsend of Elizabethton, Tenn., and Jeremy Lee Wilson of Bluff City, Tenn.

The winner of the King University/WXBQ College Dream promotion will receive a free scholarship to King University to complete his or her bachelor’s degree. The winner will choose his or her degree path from among seven bachelor’s degree options including Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Elementary Education, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Psychology, or RN-BSN for fall 2016 at King’s Tri-Cities locations.

In addition, the winner will also receive a new laptop computer courtesy of Eastman Credit Union, textbooks, and a $50 gift certificate from the King University Tornado Alley Shoppe.
