Five Finalists Selected; Voting Open March 9-16 for College Dream Scholarship Contest

BRISTOL, Tenn., March 8, 2018 – The five finalists in the King University/98.5 WTFM College Dream Scholarship Contest have been chosen. Voting begins at March 9 and will continue through March 16; each finalist will be interviewed on WTFM while voting continues next week. The winner will be revealed by WTFM and King University live during an Open House event at King’s Nicewonder Hall on March 19 from 5-7 p.m.

The five finalists are Jason Abernathy of Piney Flats, Tenn., Victor “Jordan” Wampler of Honaker, Va., Caleb Conner of Chuckey, Tenn., Kelsey Keen of Richlands, Va., and Lydia Robinson of Greeneville, Tenn.

The winner of the King University/98.5 WTFM College Dream promotion will receive a free scholarship to King University to complete his or her bachelor’s degree. The winner will choose his or her degree path from among six bachelor’s degree options: Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Elementary Education, Healthcare Administration, RN-BSN, or Social Work at King’s main campus in Bristol, Tenn., as well as Abingdon, Va., Kingsport, Tenn., Morristown, Tenn., and Richlands, Va.

In addition, the winner will also receive textbooks and a $50 gift certificate from the King University Tornado Alley Shoppe.
