King University Music Department to Host Summer Choral Arts Camp

BRISTOL, Tenn., May 8, 2017 – The Music Department at King University is pleased to announce the 2017 Summer Choral Arts Camp for rising students grades four through twelve. The week-long camp will take place in King’s Memorial Chapel from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 26 through June 30. The campers will participate in activities to enhance choral skills, movement, and musicianship.

This one-week summer day-camp will offer students the opportunity to improve their vocal skills, work with other student singers, and experience an afternoon concert series. The camp will conclude with a concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 30 in the Memorial Chapel. The free concert will highlight the skills campers learned throughout the week.

Instilling the love of music into children's hearts and minds is the passion of directors Shea A. Clay, Jane Morison, and Valerie Pickard. Students from King University Music Department will assist the directors during the camp. The cost for each camper will be $125, which includes a free t-shirt, pizza party, music packet, and memories and experiences that will last a lifetime. Campers will be provided a daily snack, but will need to bring a packed lunch.
