King University News :: King University’s First Alumni Hiking Event set for Knoxville, Tenn., Feb. 28

BRISTOL, Tenn., Jan. 26, 2015 – King University alumni and friends are invited to join King on the first of many hiking excursions. The Alumni Relations office will kick off the first hike on Feb. 28 at House Mountain State Natural Area, in Knoxville Tenn.

House Mountain State Natural Area is located thirty minutes from downtown Knoxville and overlooks the beautiful city. The excursion through the scenic Appalachian Mountains will be a five-mile hike.

“We are excited to kick off our 2015 alumni hiking adventures at House Mountain State Natural Area just outside Knoxville,” says Michael Webb, director of Alumni Relations. “It will be a great chance for our alumni to get together and enjoy the outdoors. I am looking forward to the opportunity to spend time with our alumni on the trail.”

Cost for the event is free for all involved. Alumni will gather at House Mountain State National Area at 9 a.m. The hike is a moderate five-mile hike and will include most of the trails in the park.
