King University News :: King University Welcomes New Financial Aid Director Richard Brand

BRISTOL, Tenn., Jan. 24, 2014 – Richard Brand has been appointed the new director of Financial Aid for King University. 

“We are thrilled to have someone with Richard’s experience and expertise in student financial services join our team,” says John King, vice president of Development and Enrollment Management for King. “He is a welcome addition to an already talented group.”

Brand received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Maryville College in 1984. After graduation, he went to work for Maryville in the Enrollment Management office as a senior Admissions counselor and Financial Aid assistant. He served Maryville’s Enrollment Management office for 23 years, with 12 years’ service as director of Financial Aid.

“My primary reason for working in Financial Aid is the feeling of satisfaction that comes from helping students realize their dreams of a college education,” said Brand.

Brand is an active member of the Tennessee Association of Financial Administrators and the Southern and National Associations of Financial Aid Administrators.
