Harriman, Tenn. – Roane State Community College and King University will sponsor the Roane Alliance
Chamber of Commerce Breakfast on Tuesday, Sept. 3. The event will begin at 8 a.m.
at Roane State Community College’s Harriman campus located at 276 Patton Lane, Harriman,
Tenn. The program speakers will include Roane State’s Vice President for Student
Learning, Dr. Diane Ward, and King University’s President, Dr. Greg Jordan.
Students at Roane State Community College’s Harriman location now have the opportunity
to transfer into King University’s Graduate and Professional Studies Online Programs
(GPS) and complete their bachelor’s degree.
Thanks to an articulation agreement established between the two schools, Roane State
students, upon completion of their associate’s degree, may enter directly into the
GPS program with priority consideration for admission. King’s GPS program provides
adult-oriented degree programs designed to reduce the challenges adult learners face.
“This collaboration creates not only opportunities for Roane State students to earn
four-year degrees without having to leave the community but also prepares them for
employment in careers that are in-demand in the college’s service area,” said Micah
Crews, associate vice president for Enrollment Management at King.
Roane State students in Harriman have the opportunity to enter the Bachelor of Business
Administration (BBA) degree program as well as the Bachelor of Science for Registered
Nurses (RN-BSN) program.
For more information about King’s GPS program, including full admissions requirements,
contact the College’s Office of Admissions at 800.362.0014 or visit www.king.edu.
The Roane Alliance Chamber of Commerce Breakfast will include a full complimentary
breakfast. The program begins at 8 a.m. Participants are encouraged to arrive early
for networking opportunities.
