BRISTOL, Tenn., January 21, 2015 – King University’s Office of Financial Aid is encouraging
all students to file their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon
as possible after Jan. 1, 2015.
“The FAFSA is the starting point for all need-based financial aid,” said Richard Brand,
director of Financial Aid for King. “Students must complete the Free Application
for Federal Student Aid online each year at: www.fafsa.ed.gov. We recommend students file their FAFSA as soon as possible after Jan. 1 of each year
you are enrolled. The priority date for returning students is April 1. This process
should be repeated annually. Tennessee residents are encouraged to file their FAFSA
as soon as possible after Jan. 1 to receive priority consideration for the TSAA Grant.
TSAA grant funds typically run out by the second week of February. This is $4,000
that you don’t want to miss out on.
“The Office of Financial Aid is here to help with any questions or concerns students
might have along the way. If students experience difficulty with the application,
we are here to assist them through the process,” added Brand.
FAFSA is a federal form that is universal throughout colleges and universities nationwide.
It must be renewed annually.
To fill out your FAFSA, visit http://FAFSA.ed.gov. To maximize your eligibility for all types of financial aid, apply as soon after
Jan. 1, 2015 as possible. The code for King University is #003496. If you are renewing
your FAFSA, you will also need the pin number you have used in previous years when
filling out your form.
Contact King's Financial Aid Office at 423.652.4725 or email@example.com any FAFSA or Financial Aid questions.
