King University News :: King University Choirs to Present Spring Concert April 27

The King University Jazz/Gospel Choir, The Queens of King, and All The King’s Men will present their spring concert on Saturday, April 27 at 8 p.m. in King’s Memorial Chapel.

Under the direction of Shea Clay, assistant professor of music for King, the choirs will perform choral pieces in styles including jazz, gospel, folk, spirituals, Renaissance, Baroque, barbershop, and contemporary.  King’s Jazz/Gospel choir will perform two in conjunction selections with special guests King’s Jazz Band. 

The choirs will also perform two contemporary compositions by 2010 King alumnus Will Brimer.

The concert will be held in King’s Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 27 at 8 p.m.  Admission is free; the public is welcomed to attend.  For additional information, contact Shea Clay at 423.652.4831.
