King University News :: King University Bands Present "Dance!" at Paramount Theatre April 26

On Friday, April 26, the King University Symphonic and Jazz Bands are proud to present “DANCE!”, an evening featuring dance music and music inspired by dance and rhythm.                                                         

The King University Jazz Ensemble will begin the evening with arrangements of Duke Ellington swing classics along with music of the Beatles and others.  The Symphonic Band will continue the theme, presenting Clifton Williams’ “Symphonic Dance #3 – Fiesta,” “Havendance” by David Holsinger, and “Dancing at Stonehenge” by Anthony Suter.  Both bands are under the direction of Lonny Finley, director of bands and instrumental activities at King. 

The concert will be held at the Paramount Theatre on Friday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. on historic State Street in downtown Bristol.  Admission is $5.00 for the general public and free to students and faculty presenting a King ID.
