King University News :: King University Alumni Event in Atlanta Planned for Nov. 8

BRISTOL, Tenn., Oct. 10, 2014 – King University alumni are invited to gather and connect in Atlanta, GA., on Nov. 8 at 11:30 a.m. for great food at the world famous Varsity followed by a visit to the Georgia Aquarium at 1:00 p.m.

Alumni and friends are welcome to gather prior to visiting the aquarium to reminisce and enjoy tasteful food with King Alumni, faculty, staff, and current students. The Georgia Aquarium houses more than 100,000 animals and 500 different species, making it the world’s largest aquarium. Visiting the aquarium and the fast-paced and energetic environment of The Varsity are sure to make this event on you won’t want to miss.

The Alumni and Development Office is extremely excited for our alumni gathering at The Varsity and the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, Ga. This would be a great event for alumni for whom it may be their first time attending an alumni gathering,” said Michael Webb, director of alumni relations. “We look forward to spending some time with King alumni over lunch at The Varsity, the largest drive-in fast food restaurant in the world. From there we will head to the largest aquarium in the world, and one of the top tourist destinations in the South, the Georgia Aquarium. It is going to be a fantastic time for all members of the King family. We are eager to see everyone on November 8th.

Cost for the event is $15 per person, which includes lunch, parking at the aquarium, admittance to the aquarium, Dolphin Tales admissions, and a 3D movie. The gathering will begin at 11:30 a.m. and conclude after you’ve enjoyed all that the aquarium has to offer.
