King University News :: King Tornado Host Second Annual Graduate, Professional, and Online Student Appreciation Night Jan. 11

The King University Athletic Department is hosting the second annual Graduate, Professional, and Online Student Appreciation Night to be held on Jan. 11, 2014 in the University’s Student Center Complex in Bristol, Tenn.

“We realize that many of our graduate, professional, and online students may rarely set foot on King’s Bristol campus. While admission to all of our athletic events is always free to all students, this night is our special way of saying “thank you” to our graduate, professional and online students and their families,” says David Hicks, athletic director for King University. “We hope nights like these give them reason to attend more athletic events, experience more of the King community, and support our amazing student athletes.”

Students along with their families and the community are invited to join King Athletics for a basketball doubleheader featuring the men’s and women’s basketball teams in action against Conference Carolinas opponent, Barton College. The Tornado will tip off the action at 5:30 p.m. with the men’s team following at 7:30 p.m.

Students and their families will receive free admission to the basketball games. A complimentary King Tornado t-shirt will be given to the first 200 in people in attendance. Pizza and soft drinks courtesy of Mellow Mushroom will be available for students and their family, and entry for a chance to win prizes that include King apparel and/or gift cards.
