King University News :: King Professor to Participate in Roundtable Discussion Honoring MLK, Jr.

Dr. Shannon Harris, associate professor of History for King College, will participate alongside two other local professors in a roundtable discussion honoring civil rights activist Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The event takes place at Virginia Highlands Community College on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. in the Keyser-Aday Theatre in the LRC building.

The panel discussion, led by Tommy Bryant, will focus on two questions.  Has the Dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. been realized? And, is race still an issue in this country?  Following the discussion, the panel will address audience comments and discussion.
