King (23-7) received an at-large bid and the No. 5 seed in the Southeast region and will play No. 4 Lincoln Memorial University on March 10 at BankTrust Arena (Montevallo, Ala.). The University of Montevallo earned the No. 1 seed and will host the entire regional tournament held March 10-13. Game times will be set this week.

The Tornado and Railsplitters met twice early this season, falling twice by a combined 10 points. Lincoln Memorial was ranked No. 4 in the country at the time of their first meeting at the SAC/Conference Carolinas Challenge as the Tornado were within two buckets and had a lead over LMU with 4:40 to go in the game played at Harrogate, Tennessee on Nov. 12. King hosted the Railsplitters nearly a month later at the Student Center and again were neck and neck until the final seconds of the game, ending in a 77-75 decision in favor of LMU.

This is King's first-ever NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Tournament appearance and the College's second national postseason tournament since making the transition from NAIA. Earlier this season, King was tabbed No. 2 in the Southeast region and made an appearance in the Top-25 Coaches' Poll. King ended the season advancing to the Conference Carolinas semi-final game after earning a regular season championship with a 14-2 conference record.

More information on tickets, lodging, restaurants and other amenities will be available on the Southeast Regional Tournament website which will be launched in the next few days.
