High school juniors and seniors who are wanting to experience what college is like
can do so on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 as King College hosts “King for a Day.” The day-long
event gives students and their families the royal treatment and the opportunity to
talk with various college representatives about the admissions process, financial
aid, student life, degree programs, and more.
“‘King for a Day’ gives students and their families the opportunity to get a first-hand
look at King College, and let them see the bond that the King community shares,” said
Elvin Browne, director of undergraduate recruitment and admissions.
Registration is open from 8 a.m. – 8:45 a.m., with activities beginning at 9 a.m. Participants will break into separate student and parent information groups on a
wide array of topics including: academics, student life, and campus safety, as well
as Q A panels with current King College students. Participants will also get the
chance to interact with faculty, staff, and current students. Representatives will
also be available to offer guidance on the admissions and financial aid process.
“‘King for a Day’ gives prospective students and current students the chance to interact
and be a part of the King College community,” said Greg King, associate vice president
of enrollment management.
