King University News :: King College Symphonic and Jazz Bands to Come Together for First Concert

The King College Symphonic Band and the King College Jazz Ensemble will present their first concert of the year on Nov. 10 in Maclellan Hall on the campus of King College.  Both groups are under the direction of Lonny Finley, director of bands and instrumental activities at King. The joint concert will begin at 8:00 p.m.

The jazz ensemble is the newest performing group at King and will start the night off with jazz and pop standards. The symphonic band will perform after a brief intermission, and will play works from Eric Whitacre, John Zdechlik, Aaron Copland, and others.
