King University News :: King College Photography Students to Exhibit During Bristol's Art D'Vine

The King College photography department is pleased to present the senior photo exhibitions by Nicole Poyo and Lyndsey Keegan at the former Ruth King building in downtown Bristol at 618 State Street on March 30 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Both Poyo and Keegan will be exhibiting an array of their work that will culminate with their receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in photography from King College. Poyo's work delves into the theme, Made in U.S.A., through an intimate set of portraits that survey the relationship between the artisan and their craft.  Keegan photographic technique utilizes double exposures to explore the liberating state of solitude found outside the near dependency to people's hectic, everyday lives.

The photography exhibition is being held in conjunction with Bristol's Art D'Vine Gallery Walk event. Art D'Vine is a gallery hop and wine tasting event hosted by seven major galleries on State Street including Kil'n Time, Benjamin Walls Gallery, One of a Kind Gallery, The One Night Stand Gallery, 606 State Street Gallery, Bridgeforth Design Studio, and the blowfish emporium. Participants are invited to stroll through the galleries and sample an array of wine (one at each gallery).

The public is invited to experience the exhibition, as well as meet and greet at the Art D'Vine event, on March 30, beginning at 6 p.m. For more information about the exhibit, contact the King College Photography department at photo@king.edu or contact the artist Nicole Poyo at info@nicolepoyo.com or Lyndsey Keegan at contact@lyndseykeegan.com.
