King University News :: King College Music Department to Perform Fall Concert

The King College Music Department invites the public to join them as they perform their fall music convocation at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 in King’s Memorial Chapel. 

King’s Music Department’s Applied Music students will present, “And All That Jazz…,” a program of vocal, piano, and choral music.  The program will include an array of jazz including everything from “Golliwog’s Cakewalk”by Claude Debussy to an arrangement of “Amazing Grace” by John Gibson to “Can’t Help Lovin’ Dat Man (Showboat) by Jerome Kern, and “Blue Skies” by Irving Berlin.

The evening’s music will showcase the students’ talents through the music of such greats as Debussy, Joplin, Berlin, and Gershwin.
