King University News :: King College and Knoxville's B97.5 Launch College Scholarship Contest

King College and Knoxville's B97.5 WJXB-FM are pleased to team up to offer free tuition to one of the station's listeners in their Degree of Success Scholarship - Back to School Working Too promotion.

The Degree of Success Scholarship promotion is geared toward adults who would like to realize their dreams of obtaining an undergraduate degree at no cost through King's Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS) programs in Knoxville, Sevierville, or Morristown.

We are honored to offer this opportunity to make a remarkable difference in someone's life, stated Mona Salyer, director of recruitment for graduate professional studies at King College.  Through King's GPS program, the winner will be able to complete his or her college education in a workable and convenient environment in as little as 16 months, one night a week.  Whether you are searching to make yourself more marketable, further a career change, or serve as an inspiration to your family, it is never too late to pursue the dream of a college education.

The King College / B97.5 promotion will provide the opportunity for one deserving entrant to obtain either a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree or a Bachelor of Science for Registered Nurses (RN-BSN) degree.  The winner must attend classes at the Knoxville, Morristown, or Sevierville locations of King College.  In addition, the winner will also receive textbooks courtesy of eCampus Virtual Bookstore.

From the pool of qualified applicants, King College and B97.5 will conduct a drawing on Oct. 26, at B97.5's scholarship party at King's Knoxville location on Hardin Valley Drive, with the candidate drawn named as the scholarship winner.

The contest begins Sept. 20.  The deadline to apply is Oct. 17.  Qualified applicants should have completed at least two years of college at an accredited educational establishment.  Applicants will be asked to provide related documentation, including transcripts for previous coursework.  Interested applicants can apply at backtoschool.king.edu or check out the Back to School link on www.b975.com.  For additional information regarding the Degree of Success Scholarship, contact Mona Salyer at King College at 423.652.4861 or toll free at 800.362.0014.
