King University News :: Five Finalist Selected; Voting Open March 7-14 for College Dream Scholarship Contest

BRISTOL, Tenn., February 28, 2014 – The five finalists in the King University/WCQR College Dream Contest have been chosen. Finalists will be interviewed on WCQR’s morning show each day next week; voting begins March 7 and will continue through March 14 at www.WCQR.org.  The winner will be revealed on WCQR’s morning show on March 17.

The five finalists are Monica Smith of Bristol, Tenn., Becky Johnson of Marion, Va., Ashley Wagner of Bristol, Tenn., Emily Lee of Bristol, Tenn., and Reece Fleenor of Mendota, Va. 

The winner of the King University / WCQR College Dream promotion will receive a free scholarship to King University to obtain their degree. The winner will choose their degree path from among four bachelor’s degree options including Business Administration, offered in Bristol, Blountville, Kingsport, Richlands, Big Stone Gap, and Morristown; Information Technology, offered in Bristol; Criminal Justice, offered in Kingsport; or Healthcare Administration, offered in Kingsport. In addition, the winner will also receive a new laptop computer courtesy of Eastman Credit Union, textbooks, and a $50 gift certificate from the King University Tornado Alley Shoppe.
