King University News :: Edudemic Ranks King University’s Online Degree Programs Among Top in Tennessee

BRISTOL, Tenn., January 15, 2015 – King University’s online degree programs were ranked third among all online degree programs in Tennessee in the recently released 2015 Online College Report, published by educational technology resource Edudemic. Individual online degree programs were evaluated as well, with King receiving fourth-place rankings in all of the following categories for 2015:

  • Best Business/Accounting Degree
  • Best MBA Degree
  • Best Computer Science Degree
  • Best Criminal Justice Degree
  • Best English/Humanities Degree
  • Best Healthcare Degree
  • Best Nursing/RN to BSN Degree
  • Best Psychology Degree

Edudemic’s rankings are based on a variety of areas including financial aid, performance, and career services. Out of 191 Tennessee universities, King stood out because of its strengths in areas such as program variety and affordability. According to the report, “King University’s graduation and retention rates are above the state average for Tennessee. We also liked their broad selection of 13 different online bachelor’s degrees.”

King University offers 16 online undergraduate and graduate degrees, including programs in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Nursing, and the Humanities. King also offers online programs in emerging fields like Health Informatics.

Other recent accolades include King’s recognition for the past 11 years as a “Best College in the Southeast” by the Princeton Review, and as a “Military Friendly School” for the fifth year by G.I. Jobs.  Additionally, King was named to the 2013 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.  This designation, announced by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), is the highest honor a college or university can receive for its commitment to volunteering, service-learning and civic engagement.
